This Mouse Cadherin-4 (R-Cadherin) ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for quantitative detection of mouse Cadherin-4/R-Cadherin in cell culture supernates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA, citrate). Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.
This mouse Cadherin-4/R-Cadherin ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from rat specific for Cadherin-4/R-Cadherin has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(Expression system for standard: NSO, Immunogen sequence: D167-A731) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for Cadherin-4/R-Cadherin is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB are used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the mouse Cadherin-4/R-Cadherin amount of sample captured in plate.

Additional Information: The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from rat, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: Cadherin-4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CDH4 gene. It is mapped to 2 H4; 2 101.86 cM. This gene encodes a member of the cadherin family of calcium-dependent glycoproteins that mediate cell adhesion and regulate many morphogenetic events during development. The encoded preproprotein is further processed to generate a mature protein. The encoded protein is involved in retinal angiogenesis during development where it plays a crucial role in the endothelial-astrocyte interactions. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. ; Immunogen sequence: 369
